Festivals And Events Ontario Just Shut Down, Now What?

With edits from Ruth Tshin, Consulting Lead

DoGood has supported the arts and culture sectors of the charity and nonprofit sector, including festivals, seniors organizations, youth groups. We are passionate about working with diverse communities, underrepresented groups, and those who are addressing poverty and justice.

Festivals and events bring people together from all walks of life to celebrate arts and culture, building community connections and allowing us all to understand and celebrate our diversity.

After 30 years as one of the largest sector building and influential convening organizations, we learned that Festivals and Events Ontario (FEO) has suddenly closed and left a gap in the festivals space.

So we ask you, what can DoGood do to help fill this gap? Is it a conference focusing on fundraising? Is it a workshop series to upskill your team? Would you like us to travel to your community and bring your Festival sector together?

We are a small but mighty business which has evolved with the times. We have adapted our programs and services to reflect the need of community leaders and connectors all across the country. Now we turn to you. How can we support festivals and events in Ontario and beyond?

Feel free to leave a comment on any of our social media channels, post or comment on this blog. You can also email us directly at info@dogoodfunding.ca

If you are a festival or event organizer in Ontario, we invite you to our upcoming conference, the DoGood Funding National Conference, happening October 2-3 in Brampton. Join us to learn how you can cultivate and steward donor relationships and attract sponsorships to ensure your next events are successful.

We are offering all festival and event organizers:

To all festival and event organizers, thank you for what you do! And to the good people at FEO including Dave and Debbie, we will see you in the community!
