Sales Frequently Asked Questions
What do we do?
We raise funds through grant writing, prospect research, professional development training, and other services for charities and non-profits. Think of us as a machine that works in the background while you do good work on the front lines!
Which grants and funding do we focus on?
We focus on government, foundation, and corporation grants. We have worked with charities and nonprofits across the country since 2019, and have already raised over 20 million dollars.
What is our process?
We begin by learning about an upcoming grant opportunity with a deadline. For our members, we help to identify these funding opportunities at no additional charge. We then meet to strategize about the grant, and our team writes the grant application. From there, we internally review the file for consistency and eligibility and send the draft to the client for review. When the client gives feedback, we revise the proposal based on the feedback, then we upload it to the online portal and complete technical troubleshooting. The client then gives final approval and the “greenlight” to submit the file. We have streamlined this process to be 12 to 15 hours of work on average.
What is our fee structure and are there any hidden fees?
We do not charge a “success fee” on grant writing. Unlike other grant writing services, we are not interested in taking a large chunk of your grant revenue. We agree with the industry trend that fundraising expenses can not – and should not – be funded through grant applications. We charge a fair, hourly rate of only $99 per hour for grant writing, and members get a reduced fee of only $90 hourly. We do charge a $150 rush fee if the request is made at the last minute. Additional rounds of edits are $50 each.
What is our success rate?
DoGood Funding has had a successful track record of winning grants. Over the past six years, we have raised over $20 million dollars for charities and nonprofits. As there is usually a delay in funding announcements, we typically receive notification of a successful grant after 4-6 months. We don't have a success policy on winning grants, but we will always meet with our client and the funder to learn about any grant decline and to obtain rationale to improve and resubmit a grant.
What does our contract or agreement entail?
Our contract usually lasts one year in length, and indicates that we will honor our commitments to working with your organization and that we’ll provide professional service. It includes a clause about resolving complaints, and ending the contract. There is no requirement to commit to our services over a long-term basis, and we do work with clients on a grant-by-grant basis.
Do we provide ongoing support for grants?
Many of our clients have asked for consistent and ongoing support with grant writing and sourcing new funds. For that reason, we offer the DoGood Insiders Membership program. We will keep an eye out for grants for your organization on an ongoing basis. If a relevant opportunity emerges, we will reach out. This also gives our clients access to contact our staff about exciting opportunities as they emerge. While we prefer to schedule our calls in advance, members are encouraged to reach out to us as necessary to receive priority support for grants.

Do we tailor or customize grant proposals?
It is our policy to tailor or customize all grant proposals that we work on. We do not copy content from any other client grant. It is also our policy to avoid using artificial intelligence (AI) in grant writing unless requested. For this reason, each grant will be unique in its narrative and composition.
What are the next steps to engage with DoGood?
Getting started with DoGood is simple. Please reach out to us and we will issue a contract for co-signing and an invoice for the service selected. We typically ask for two weeks notice prior to any grant opportunities, to provide sufficient time to complete the proposal. We look forward to working with you. Let’s raise more money!
